Hey everyone! I am Andrew O'Reilly and I'm from Dublin, Ohio and went to Dublin Coffman High School. I graduated in 2012. I'm under my junior year here at OSU. I went to OSU Newark for my freshman year then took classes at their Delaware branch past two years. I did not know what I wanted to Major in and kept changing it until I chose the Sports Industry Major. I am the youngest of 5 so I am from a pretty big family. I have 2 little nephews(1 that was just born last Saturday) which I love! My Parents are from Philly and Martha's Vineyard and we visit those places every summer. I would love to have a summer home on the Vineyard sometime in my life. I am a big time sports fan and I am a die hard Blue Jackets fan and its been very tough time being a fan but its been a great time going to the games etc. I am also a big time Cincinnati Reds and Boston Red Sox fan too. After I graduate I would like to live down south or the east coast by the water. Even though I like hockey I just hate winter and I just love being near the ocean. I would like to work with some NHL team like doing a sports broadcasting job or just working with the organization!
The most important leadership role I have experienced is that I worked myself up to being a manager where I work which is a local coffee shop in Worthington, Ohio. I have been with the owner of the store for 8 years now and he has taught me a lot through those 8 years. I have been taught that everyone is trained differently so I have to be patient. I always tell the new employees whenever we hire them that I am very sarcastic so don't always take me seriously. I always tell the employees which a lot are high school students that go to Kilbourne and Watterson that if they ever have a problem come to me about anything. If you were to ask some of my employees that they would say that I'm one of the nicest person they have met but I am very sarcastic and they love/hate it sometimes. I always want them to have a fun time working with me and enjoy what they are doing to get paid at a young age. I know being a leader and manager are totally different things but I look at myself being a leader to them.
