When I first started this class I would have never thought I would of seen what type of person who I am. With taking all the quizzes and activities we have done through the semester is crazy how everything has blended together and they pretty much all match up together with similar results. In most if not all the activities and quizzes I have taken they can all relate on how much I care for other people. In the Strengths Quest Empathy was my number 1.. It means I care a lot for others sometimes more then myself. I also listen to others opinions and always let the other people voice their opinions if they have any and I'm always there to help the person if they need help. After this class is over I don't see myself changing because this is who I am and how much I care for others.
This class has also shown me how many different ways of being a leader you can be and how some people are also followers. There are just so many different opinions people have on leaders.
Another thing I picked up in class is the active and non-active listening skills and I never noticed of the details of how some people are actually listening to you and the key for me is of they are making eye contact with me while we are having a conversation. Another thing I've noticed in this class you have to make time for yourself like how we meditated in class. Everyone is so busy with themselves that some people barley take time for themselves and think what they have done that day.
Overall, This class has taught me of how many different views of leadership there are. It also showed me what type of person I am by taking all these quizzes. This was an awesome class to take even when I signed up I had no idea what to expect from this class. It was an interesting class with the amount of information we have learned.

I think linking the Pecks theory I would have to go back to Freshman year of high school and linking it to the football team.. The first part was where we had to get all together and we weren't all familiar with each other so that falls under the pseudo community which we were avoiding conflict.. The second stage is chaos.. All of us were not familiar with each other since this school for kids from 3 different middle schools and everyone had different views from their middle school days. But we all did have to agree on somethings but there were some different views. The 3rd stage is where the realization of the conflicts clashing together.. I saw this when we played games and we had to come together for us to reach our goal and win the games.. And the fourth peck theory is the "true authentic community" after we were down in the game at half we had to come together as a group or "Community" and solve the problems of us being down to get our selves back on our feet and work together to win the game.
Overall, I would have not thought it all collided together because it was all happening so quickly but now since I have seen Pecks theory it has shown and explained everything.. so crazy!!

I think my target identity is being white middle/upperclass.. Some of my friends that I have met think everything is handed to me especially when I tell them that my Dad is from Philly and my Mom is from Martha's Vineyard..Which I haven't yeah there are things where they pay for me but I started working when I was 14 because I respect how much my parents have done for me and my other brother and sisters. I'm the youngest of 5 and know how much my parents went through supporting all of us 5 kids. I've been paying for my car to help my parents out so they don't have to worry about paying for everything etc..
The non-target identity i have is probably being a male.. Males are majority of this country and us males don't get discriminated as much as females in my opinion. I respect women a lot and feel bad how they get discriminated and get lower pay then men just because they are a girl...

The highest category I fell into was enabling others to act.. I am not to surprised I fell into this because I've been falling into all these similar categories with all the other tests I have taken. The reason I see myself in this category is because I always look for others to be better and others to succeed! The lowest category I fell into was encouraging the heart and that little bit surprised me because I thought it wouldn't be my lowest one because I do sometimes encourage people when I'm working in a group but I guess not as much as I thought..
The way I can work on getting better with this category is to start giving people motivation and praise in groups and working as a team.

I think the most rememberable " Moral Muteness" is that one time a group of my friends and I went out to eat in out first year in college to a restaurant and he had paid the waitress with a 20 for his meal. When she handed all of our checks back with our CC and change back he got back a 10 and two 5's so he decided to keep those bills and put 2$ for her tip since his meal was like 8$. But he could have easily told the waitress that she messed up and never charged him for his meal but he decided just to pocket the money and pretended nothing happen. I believe I could have spoken up at the time and told him to do the right thing but I did not. It has happen to me before just recently and I remember back then how wrong it was so I did tell the waiter what he did and he really did appreciate it at the end. I just see honesty is big in my "moral values"...

The quizzes that I took were the Age, Skin tone and the Presidents.
The first one I took was the Age quiz. It says that I'm strong automatic preference for Young compared to old. I think I agree with this but it was weird how the quiz was with noticing old/young faces etc. But going back I have 2 little nephews that I absolutely love. I guess I work better with younger people then older people but I'm still at a young age so I think it could change as I grow up..
The second quiz I took was the Skin tone. It says that I was Moderate preference for light skin compared to dark skin. I guess I agree with this but I feel like I fall in the middle between the two. I grew up in an area where it was a lot more light skin at first then by the time I got to Middle and HS there were more dark skin. So maybe thats why I fell with Moderate. But I'm open to all in my opinion.
The last quiz I took was the Presidents. It says I'm Moderate automatic preference for recent Presidents compared to Obama. I felt like i just noticed for the picture much faster is that it wasn't a picture of Obama that I clicked faster. I thought it was a cool quiz to take and I'm surprised of what my result was for this one. I thought I would be more automatic with Obama since its more recent in my time then the other presidents.
Overall, I agree with most of these. It was interesting of what I got on these. The only one I was surprised about was the Presidents one.

I chose the Mighty Ducks because they were losing the game and then the coach came into the locker room to get the team together. They were enjoying the game but during the intermission the coach was not happy because of the score and he wanted to win. He then asked the kids if they were enjoying the game and they all said yes. Then he responded with "so are they probably"... He wanted the win and could tell the team was not all together so he started to ask all of them where they are from then afterwords he mentioned that the " Ducks fly together" he wanted to bring them together so they could win the game together. The process was to bring them together and the purpose was to win the game. The coach was empowering the group to go out and win. The coaches ethics is his beliefs and values of winning the game with this team because he has seen it before with them. Then his inclusive is the coach getting them all together again.Overall, this relates to the relational leadership model because it shows all factors that fall in the mode.
